Fortress of Jaca

 

The Summer School will be held in the Universitary Residence of the University of Zaragoza at Jaca (Huesca, Spain). The Residence is often the venue of conferences, symposiums and scientific seminars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The registration fee includes:

- 4 days accommodation,from 24th june to 27th, breakfast and lunch during the whole stay.

- Assistance to all lectures and course completion certificate.

- An excursion to the wonderful National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, placed in the Pyrenees Mountains. at Thursday 26rd of June. Lunch is included.

Prices are:

 

Student rate 250 euros
Normal rate (Senior researchers) 350 euros
Accompanying person 250 euros

 

For a better distribution and organization of the course, participants must complete a
pre-registration before May 15th. Participants will be lodged in double rooms, thus, we ask them to indicate in their form with whom are interested to share the room. Also if you are student and you want to expose your scientific work on a short oral communication please let us know. We encourage students to participate and present their scientific works ¡¡

A special issue in the Journal “Optica Pura y Aplicada” (indexed in SCOPUS) will be devoted for those lecturers presenting an oral contribution (Professors or Students) interested in publishing their works.

Topics will be, between many others:

- Spectroscopic techniques applied to biomolecular structure and environment

- Classical Raman spectroscopy: structural studies of peptides and proteins

-  SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy): Plasmonic Nanoparticules for increasing sensitivity

-  SERS / microfluidics coupling

- Infrared (IR) and time resolved IR applied to biosystems

- Fluorescence based techniques

- Theoretical approaches applied to biomolecular systems

- UV and electronic circular dichroism

For payment, the registration form must be fill out and sent together with the payment receipt to the indicated email. The deadline is June 15th.

The official languages for oral communications will be French, English and Spanish, nevertheless English language is only requested for lecture supporting slides.

Lectures begins in the morning and ends at mid-afternoon. After that you´ll have free time to enjoy the day with good company.
Entertainment (mainly in the evening) and good vives will be assured during the whole week, as the school will be held during the Fiestas de San Pedro of Jaca.
